You get used to being a second-class person, if you’re on the web a lot. That is, provided you’re not living in the US. I’ve got used to it, and it usually doesn’t bother me much, but today I made my first and last purchase from Amazon.com.

I should probably stop using Amazon.co.uk as well, because it is the same company after all, but so far I’ve mostly had ok experiences with them. And since boycotting them won’t make anything change there is no point in not being pragmatic.
